“The United States has 308 million people today; two-thirds are non-Hispanic whites.
The total population should climb to 399 million by 2050, under the new projection, with whites making up 49.9 percent of the population. Blacks will make up 12.2 percent, virtually unchanged from today. Hispanics, currently 15 percent of the population, will rise to 28 percent in 2050.
Asians are expected to increase from 4.4 percent of the population to 6 percent.” – US Census Bureau
After reading the same figures used by Yahoo to back that statement up you see in the year 2050 according to the projections “White America” still makes up the majority of the population by a HUGE margin. I’m guessing yahoo meant in correlation to a combined total minority population.
You will also notice that the only segment of the population experiencing actual growth in this period of time is projected to be Asians and Latinos. Kudos brown brethren.
I also noticed looking through the information is that the population of Black Americans is expected to remain constant at around 12 percent from here to infinity. How is that possible? You people better wake up.
So when exactly does America cease to be “White America” and become a true melting pot and spokes place for real racial equality? Unless a single minority group experiences an explosive growth in population I mean like Australian field mice during the grain harvest season it just isn’t going to happen. I mean man will be long gone from the face of the earth, either that or there is going to be sea water waist deep as far inland as Nebraska. That should give you some sort of time table.
