Former NBA player Lorenzen Wright has been reported missing by his family after disappearing last Sunday. Initially the Memphis Police Department did not suspect foul play was at hand but we found out a couple days later that was precisely what took place. Lorenzen Wright was found dead in a wooded area off  Winchester near Hacks Cross. I’m not going to speculate as to what may have taken place but I heard 70 thousand dollars was taken from him by way of the rumor mill. Who knows what the real motive was. I know no one thing. Being shot multiple times and left for dead in the woods ain’t no way for a man to leave this world. I got the impression following the story that he may possibly have known his life was going to take a turn for the worst which may have prompted his last visit with his children.

The only thing in the above words so far established as fact is that he visited his children and about a week later he was found dead. I know this cat did a lot for the City of Memphis through his charity and philanthropy works and for that he gets a shout out from me. I don’t know anything about the man’s background but God will sort it out. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends as well. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in this city and all over the world that have lost a love one at the hands of another human being. I’m signing out on that note so take care.

I can tell you one thing about 8Ball and MJG. These cats earned every thing they have the hard way. The hard way is keeping it real, for those of you that don’t know. They didn’t drop dance tunes custom made for club junkies and they rarely ever did music videos. Im thinkin less than five in the last 17 years. Their initial major release on Suave House Records Comin’ out Hard didn’t have one single released in video format and I still consider it one of the greatest rap albums of all time. Anyway enough about that enjoy the video. Orange Mound stand the fuck up!

Halfway around the world on the Planet Japan I came across a producer by the name of Nujabes. Easily one of the most prolific contributors to the background music and soundtracks of Samurai Champloo, an anime which blends a feudal Japan setting with modern anachronisms, especially in regards to hip hop culture. Samurai Champloo just happens to  be on my list of  dope anime’s for the semi connosuers out there. Shout out to adult swim for putting me up on the show. On February 26, 2010 Nujabes died as a result of injuries as a result of a late night traffic accident. This dude must have been something like J. Dilla to Japanese lovers of  Hip Hop – RIP.
