The last day of Black History Month came and went. I can’t help but wonder how much longer we have until black people completely forget. I have but one contribution to make this year. It took a long time to gather all these documents. So long in fact, you get it on CPT. All jokes aside, I’d like to present to you several documents from the murder investigation that occurred following the assassination of Malcolm, which just so happens to have occurred February 21, 1965 in the now infamous Manhattan Audobon Ballroom. The contents of Malcolm’s coat pocket filled with bullet holes:
Multiple eyewitness accounts from the Audobon Ballroom The NYPD’s interview of Betty Shabazz immediately following the murder: Shotgun shells recovered from the crime scene at the Audobon: Pieces of shrapnel recovered from the body: Exhibit 68, another recovered bullet An anonymous threat delivered to convicted gunman Norman Butler: The FBI teletype that was sent following the Murder: Tags: assassination, betty shabazz, case files, documents, malcolm x, murder investigation, NYPD
